Also the rune for Lay Waste, Lay Mines always sticks at retrieving item information. And it won't let me pick up the books either.
I've abandoned the quests and picked them back up.
Are these bugged? Hard to further in the quest line without them done.

Having the exact same issue with Precious Little Left, and the one book that does show up, I can't loot (actually, I can't loot any of the 3). Coincidentally, I'm having looting issues from all the mobs in the same area- it hangs, won't let me loot, and when it does I get 'empty slot.'
Disable ALL add-ons and delete your cache.
This worked for me, but not immediately! After deleting my cache I needed to log in and let WOW spins its wheels for a few minutes and then the quest objectives were automatically refreshed. I'm so glad this workaround fixed this issue!
Confirmed, this works. I then re-enabled addons and it still worked. Had to wait about 60 seconds for the quest item to start working.
