Just keep the story mode save on a separate usb and your main save on another usb. And load your main save to the ps3 when you want to play 2.5 and overwrite it with the story mode save any time you want to farm.

The Bee is one of the best Shields in Borderlands 2. It's a Legendary Shield and is a very rare drop from 'Hunter Hellquist' (see below to learn more about getting the shield).
The above 'The Bee' shield was dropped in the second playthrough in True Vault Hunter Mode. The shield will carry with it better stats if dropped in PT2.5 (Play through 2.5 aka: beat the game in Vault Hunter Mode at level 50 then everything will be scaled to level 50 (this is how you get the best drops in the game).
The Bee can be dropped from 'Hunter Hellquist' (see section below for in depth instructions on how to kill him) at any level at which you can kill him. The shield will scale to your level up to a point (point unknown). To get the absolute best version of this shield you must farm Hunter Hellquist on PT2.5 (see above if you don't know what that is).
Acquiring 'The Bee' Shield[edit]
To get 'The Bee' Shield you need to:
- Travel to the Arid Nexus - Boneyard using the fast travel system.
- Tavel east until you reach the building labeled 'Hyperion Truth Network'.
- An elevator is located directly behind the structure, and should be located on the ground level. Just hop on and press the button to access the building which 'Hunter Hellquist' is located in.
- Push the button for the door.
- Once in the door has opened, inside the building will be an enemy named 'Hunter Hellquist'.
- Kill 'Hunter Hellquist'.
- After he is dead loot what he dropped.
- If 'The Bee' didn't drop, save and quit, rinse, and repeat.

Sorry this is probably a stupid question and answered a million times but i recently got back into BL2 and i'm trying to farm the warrior. I put my save file on read only and when i killed the warrior and moonshot him, i saved-quit only to reload without being able to kill or moonshot him again. Did i need to put my bak. file on read only as well? Am i missing something?
